All GeoDIL patrons must register (one time only) before they access the library. Registration is important so we may keep track of users and interests. As the library is developed, we may contact users to ask for evaluations, but all information gathered in the registration process will remain confidential. This information will be kept in a registration database accessible only to library administrators. We know that many people don't like to register to use Websites, but it is very important that you do so. We need to be able to assess GeoDIL so we can make necessary changes and tailor it to users' needs. Without knowing something about the users, we cannot do this.

Patrons register by filling out and submitting the form below. Choose a username for yourself (such as your last name), ensuring that it contains no spaces. Also create a private password. Together, these are your "library card" into GeoDIL.

After you are successfully registered, your Web browser will ask you to type in your username and password the first time you try to access the GeoDIL database. The browser will remember this information for as long as it continues to run, so you can access GeoDIL features without being asked for it again.
